当日はアパートの外部巡回清掃をしておりました。
朝から暖かく、日中は25℃まで上がってとても暖かかったでした。気温的には夏日になっていました。
午前中は晴れでしたが降水確率が30～40％あり午後から局地的に雷雨の可能性もあったようなので、天気を気にしながら動いておりました。
外回りの作業上、天気に影響されることも多く、外回りの掃き掃除ができなくなります。
またこの時期は、除草剤を散布することが多いのですが、「雨」には注意が必要になります。
除草剤はだいたい散布してから6時間程度は晴れ続きでないと、効果がなくなってしまうからです。
簡単に言いますと薬剤が葉や茎、根から吸収して効力を発揮するためには、最低6時間は必要なのです。
意外に除草剤自体は安くはないので、雨で流されてしまうと費用と手間が無駄になってしまいます。
そのような危険性がある際には、残念ながら除草剤を散布することを控えることが多いです。

いい維持の仕方は、雑草が生える前に「生えさせない」状況をつくることです。
作業の帰り道に、都立小金井公園へちょっと寄ってみました。
桜はしっかり散ってしまっていますが、青々とした木々が綺麗でした。
